Professional services firms have a critical role to play in the net-zero transition. Not only by reducing their own emissions, but by shaping the decisions, strategies, and investments of the companies they advise.
This launch marks the start of a more structured effort to move beyond operational footprints and to define what climate leadership looks like for consulting and professional services in practice.
Join Alexis McGivern, Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Oxford Net Zero, Katarina Wangler Björk, Chief Impact Officer, Exponential Roadmap Initiative, and Jonathan Wise, Purpose Disruptors Co-Founder, for a conversation on serviced emissions, the current implementation landscape and how professional services firms can strategically align their portfolios with climate ambition.
Agenda
- An introduction to the current Serviced Emissions landscape and what a net-zero future means for professional services.
- A walkthrough of the Consulting Working Group, including how to engage and contribute.
- A first look at the Professional Services Matrix — a practical approach to aligning portfolios with an earth positive future.
- Examples from leading companies already shifting their strategies and service offerings.
About the initiative
The Consulting Working Group is part of the Serviced Emissions Hub, a research and engagement initiative chaired by Oxford Net Zero that seeks to advance implementation of climate alignment within professional services, far beyond operational footprints.
The purpose of the Working Group is to convene consulting firms to collaborate on the development of leading practices for climate alignment. It aims to support firms not only in taking responsibility for the emissions they influence, but in transforming their portfolios to enable the net-zero transition. By leveraging their influence and advice, PSPs can accelerate systemic change across industries.
